Description
Celebrate Christmas with this Norwegian Cognac House
Experience the Cognac house of Braastad during the festive period with their very own Cognac Braastad Christmas Limited Edition. It has an elegant bouquet of floral character and a subtle, well-balanced after-taste with a hint of spices and chocolate.
Aged in their dark, damp cellar next to the river Charente, Master Blender Richard Braastad has selected a series of eaux-de-vie grown in the Petite Champagne and Fins Bois growing areas, out of thousands of casks maturing in their cellar - many of which were placed there by Sverre Braastad himself, the Norwegian founder of this esteemed Cognac house.
Celebrate the holidays in style, with a Cognac blessed with an elegant bouquet of floral notes, and a well-balanced after taste of dark chocolate and spices. Left to age in casks for many years, the eaux-de-vie interacts with the oak and air, evaporating at a rate of about three percent each year.
After eight years or so, the Cognac begins to soften, and the soft notes begin to dominate. The rancio character will become evident as you sip on this limited edition at Christmas time. Braastad Cognac was established by Tiffon Cognac in 1857. Five generations down the line, and they are still producing Cognac in the same way Sverre did himself.
Presentation of the bottle
A 50cl bottle crafted in the obvious Braastad style, but with a gorgeous illustration of Santa on his sleigh pulled by his reindeers.
How to enjoy
This would make a wonderful Christmas gift, to then be enjoyed with friends and loved ones over the festive period. Sip it neat, lovingly, at room temperature. It would also go beautifully in cocktails or over ice.

About Braastad Cognac
In the heart of Grande Champagne in the village of Jarnac lies the impressive Chateau de Triac. The chateau is the home of Cognac Tiffon, to which the Cognac brand Braastad belongs.
Rubbing shoulders with other famous Cognac houses such as Bisquit or Courvoisier, the brand Braastad was created when a Norwegian named Sverre Braastad married into the Tiffon family.
Known for their devotion to the traditional Cognac producing methods, today the whole process is still carried out at the family premises, and Cognac Braastad’s products are renowned worldwide.
